8.5 DCISC Open Houses
The purpose of the open houses was to provide an informal opportunity for the public to meet the Committee’s representatives, to ask questions concerning operation of PG&E’s Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, and to receive information concerning the role and activities of the Diablo Canyon Independent Safety Committee. The Committee has advertised and held several open houses since its inception in 1990 but with limited interest by the public. The two open houses held during this reporting period are described below. The open houses have been held at a time when Members and Consultants have been at the plant for regular Fact-finding meetings.
